May and June 2016

Melissa (Parnell) Slater

Melissa (Parnell) Slater has been selected to be the Geneseo Parish Outreach Center Volunteer of the Month for the months of May and June in recognition of her many hours of work for the Center as our "Accounting" professional.
Missy has been serving that organization since its inception and has been an Executive Board member since 2007. She is currently serving as the GPOC treasurer, a job she has been doing for many years. She was drafted for this duty after she did some IRS documentation work for the us.
She has an accounting degree from SUNY Geneseo, and has been an employee of the Bonadia Group since September 2011. She works on a "flex" schedule which allows her to be a "hands-on mom" to her children Ethan, age 4, and Emma Grace, who is nearly two years old.
Though there is little spare time in this busy lady's life, she would enjoy extra time to spend quilting, if and when that becomes possible! She and her husband, Ryan, and their children, whose grandparents are Linda and Bob Parnell, reside in Piffard. Congratulations are extended to Melissa Slater for her very valuable contributions to the Geneseo Parish Outreach Center and her part in helping those who are benefitting from the program.
